This policy explains what information SiteServing collects when you use our website, Client Portal, and hosting services, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It's part of our Terms of Service.
SiteServing Hosting ("SiteServing," "we," "us") provides VPS and reseller hosting services. This policy covers the data we collect through our marketing website, the Client Portal, our support channels, and the operation of our hosting infrastructure. It doesn't cover content you or your visitors upload to servers you control, which is addressed in our Terms of Service.
| Category | Examples | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Account information | Name, email, company, billing address | You, when you sign up |
| Payment information | Card type and last four digits, billing history | You, via our payment processor |
| Support and portal activity | Tickets, chat transcripts, login timestamps | You, and automatically as you use the portal |
| Technical and log data | IP address, browser type, server resource metrics | Automatically, from your devices and our infrastructure |
| Cookies and similar data | Session identifiers, preference settings | Automatically, via your browser |
We collect only what's needed to provision and support your services, secure our network, and meet legal obligations. We don't ask for information unrelated to those purposes.
We keep account and billing records for as long as your account is active and for a period after closure to meet tax, accounting, and legal requirements, typically up to seven years for financial records. Support tickets and portal activity logs are generally retained for up to two years. Server-level content you control is governed by the backup and deletion timelines in our Terms of Service, Section 10.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Residents of the EU and UK can exercise rights under the GDPR; California residents have similar rights under the CCPA/CPRA. To make a request, contact us through the Client Portal; we'll verify your identity before acting on it and respond within the timeframe the applicable law requires.
You can opt out of marketing email at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message, without affecting service notices tied to your account.
SiteServing's infrastructure and staff are primarily based in the United States. If you're accessing our services from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., which may have different data protection laws than your home country. Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard for these transfers.
We use encryption in transit for the Client Portal and our APIs, access controls limiting who on our team can view account and billing data, and monitoring across our infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute protection, but we treat a suspected breach of personal information as a priority incident and will notify affected customers as required by law.
Our services are intended for businesses and individuals who are at least 18 years old, consistent with the account eligibility rules in our Terms of Service. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Our website and documentation may link to third-party sites or integrate third-party services described in our Terms of Service. This policy doesn't cover their privacy practices, and we encourage you to review their policies separately.
We may disclose account information in response to a valid legal request, such as a subpoena or court order, or where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of SiteServing, our customers, or the public. Where the law allows, we'll attempt to notify the affected customer before disclosure.
We may update this policy as our practices evolve. For material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where practical, notify you by email or through the Client Portal before the change takes effect.
Privacy questions or data requests can be sent through the Client Portal, or by mail to SiteServing Hosting, Privacy Team, IBX DC11, Ashburn, VA.
